FiiO makes the small pieces that sit between your music and your headphones — and they make a bigger difference than most people expect.

The best-known are their DACs: little devices, some no larger than a USB stick, that take over the audio processing your phone or laptop does badly by default. Plug one in and the same headphones you already own sound clearer and fuller. FiiO also builds standalone music players, desktop units for people who listen at a desk all day, and their own line of earphones and headphones.

The company started in China in 2007 with the goal of making genuinely well-engineered audio affordable, and that’s still the reason we carry them. It’s usually the least expensive way to noticeably improve how your music sounds.
